A British healthcare worker infected with Ebola is being medically evacuated from the Democratic Republic of the Congo to Britain.
A specialist ambulance will transport the patient to a high-consequence infectious disease unit upon arrival. This evacuation follows the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which records over 10,000 confirmed cases and nearly 5,000 deaths.
British health authorities maintain the risk to the UK public remains low.
