President Donald Trump has threatened Cuba, stating that a deal with the US must be made 'before it is too late'.
Trump's comments come amid rising tensions between the two nations.
Trump also asserted that the flow of Venezuelan oil and money to Cuba will cease, a move that could have significant economic implications for the island nation.
US forces seized Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro in a raid on the capital on January 3, sparking concerns about the stability of the region.
Despite the recent developments, Trump claims that US military intervention is not needed, stating Cuba is 'ready to fall'.
He also claimed that Cuba will receive 'zero' oil or money from Venezuela, a statement met with skepticism by some analysts.
Trump previously stated that Cuba had 'lived, for many years, on large amounts of OIL and MONEY from Venezuela' and would find it difficult to 'hold out' without this support.
