Netanyahu Rejects Trump's Gaza Peace Plan
Conflicting claims emerge regarding disarmament and ceasefire terms amidst ongoing Israeli strikes.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Israel's rejection of a peace plan proposed by President Donald Trump's Board of Peace.
This rejection directly contradicts earlier claims by Donald Trump, who stated in July that both Israel and Hamas had agreed to his plan, which included a ceasefire initiated last year.
Trump also claimed last month that a breakthrough had occurred in his efforts to end the conflict; Netanyahu acknowledged ongoing talks with the US administration on the issue, noting some American ideas were acceptable while others were not.
The “Board of Peace” in Gaza, established by Donald Trump, published a "roadmap" for a peace process between Israel and Hamas.
This roadmap mentions UN Security Council Resolution no. 2803 (2025).
Trump's Board of Peace developed a 15-point plan last month and claimed to have reached an agreement for the complete disarmament of Hamas and other armed groups in Gaza.
Netanyahu emphasized that "disarm Hamas" meant all weapons, heavy and less-heavy.
However, Hamas claims its agreement to hand over heavy weapons was contingent on Israel ending all forms of aggression and withdrawing its forces from Gaza.
Hamas also stated it would give up its weapons once Israel fulfilled its commitments, despite claims from Netanyahu that Hamas had agreed to lay down its weapons.
Israel has continued to carry out strikes on Gaza since agreeing to an initial ceasefire last October.
An Israeli airstrike occurred in the Al-Nasr neighborhood of western Gaza City.
