Bruno Fernandes will remain Manchester United captain.
The decision follows a tumultuous period for the club, marked by a 4-1 Champions League defeat to Como. Following this loss, Fernandes reportedly criticized Carrick and his tactical approach.
Former Liverpool and England striker Emile Heskey claimed Fernandes took "the easy way out" after the Como defeat. Heskey further suggested Fernandes operates more as a vice-captain than a traditional leader, asserting players on the pitch should adapt tactics rather than solely blaming the manager.

There's no decision to be made on that.

Michael Carrick
Carrick had given Harry Maguire the captain's armband last week. Fernandes was subsequently left out of the Bournemouth match; Carrick stated the decision was for "pure football" reasons.
Fernandes was axed after criticizing the manager's tactics following the Como defeat. Despite these tensions, Carrick stated, "There's no decision to be made on that," regarding the captaincy.

Rumors have circulated that Fernandes could be sold during the January transfer window. Speculation also suggests the midfielder might be on his way out.
