Democrats have regained control of both the US Senate and House of Representatives.
The results delivered a clear referendum on President Donald Trump's tenure, despite his absence from the ballot. Democrats seized Republican seats in South Carolina and North Carolina.
Jon Ossoff secured re-election in Georgia. Adam Hamilton won a Senate seat in Kansas, and Annie Andrews claimed a Senate seat in South Carolina.
Further Democratic gains included Amy Acton winning the race for governor in Ohio, and Xavier Becerra securing victory in California. These Democratic triumphs followed voter discontent over the cost of living, tariffs, and high energy prices, issues fueled by the Iran war launched by Mr. Trump with Israel earlier this year.

I wasn’t on the Ballot and if I was, we would have won IN A LANDSLIDE!

Donald Trump
Donald Trump, who positioned himself at the helm of the Republicans' campaign, claimed the party would have won in a "landslide" if his name had been on the ballot. "I wasn’t on the Ballot and if I was, we would have won IN A LANDSLIDE!" Trump stated.
He also remarked on the performance of Republican candidates, saying, "They did a good job. They worked very hard." However, one leading Democrat claimed the results left Trump as a 'lame duck president'.
Trump also asserted that Greg Abbott would not have lost if he "hadn't become a RINO in the last six months." The UK Government indicated it will maintain its close relationship with the Trump administration despite these shifts.
