Reform UK has suspended members following an ITV investigation that exposed racist and extremist comments.
Reform UK councillor Alan Feeney mutually agreed to resign from the party; he continues his role as an Independent councillor.
Feeney, also deputy mayor of Solihull, reportedly made racist comments concerning Asian homeowners.
Separately, Reform UK election candidate Chris Whelan also resigned from the party, citing personal and health reasons.
Reform councillor Dean Miller, who made comments about illegal immigrants and called for King Charles to be beheaded, also resigned from Reform.
Miller later told the program he is disabled and was heavily medicated when making the comments.
Politicians from Labour, the Liberal Democrats, and the Conservatives have condemned the comments made by the individuals.
Reform councillor Raymond Dunning has been approached regarding his comments.
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has postponed a major announcement in the wake of these revelations.
The party claims it has improved and prioritized its vetting procedures, stating that investigations have commenced where members, activists, and councillors behaved inappropriately.
Reform UK also claims that not all individuals covertly recorded by ITV are members of the party.
The party asserts that from time to time, a handful of individuals who do not share its values will initially make it through vetting.
Reform UK is conducting an investigation into the revelations, while also claiming that ITV and Hardcash Productions used extreme methods of deception.
The party further claims the undercover journalist provided altered identification documents, a false address, and false credentials.
Reform UK also alleges the investigation came at a time when Nigel Farage and other members were being targeted by individuals who wished them harm, causing a security issue that was documented but not included in the report.
