Rupert Lowe Offers Conditional Alliance to Reform UK Amidst Political Tensions
Restore Britain founder outlines five stringent policy demands for Nigel Farage, sparking accusations of a self-serving bid for relevance.

Rupert Lowe has offered to collaborate with Reform UK, contingent on five specific policy demands.
The offer emerges as Nigel Farage campaigns in a by-election, having resigned his Clacton seat in July 2026 following a financial scandal involving undisclosed donations from billionaire Christopher Harborne.
Restore Britain, Rupert Lowe's political vehicle, recently secured fourth place in the Greater Manchester Mayoral Election, trailing Labour, Reform, and the Greens.
In that contest, Reform's Sian Astley finished second with 111,928 votes, representing 21% of the total. Restore's Marlon West secured 46,289 votes, or 8.7%; Bev Craig succeeded Andy Burnham as the winner of the Greater Manchester mayoral election.
Lowe claims the Greater Manchester result demonstrates Restore Britain's capacity to deliver significant electoral outcomes. He also claims that ending mass immigration is insufficient; it must be reversed, and every illegal migrant must be deported.
However, Gawain Towler, a member of Reform UK's board and an ally of Nigel Farage, has dismissed Lowe's overture.
Towler claims that Restore Britain holds policy positions, such as banning Kosher food, which Farage would never accept. He further claims that Lowe's proposal is not an open hand, but rather comes with conditions, describing it as 'the oldest move in the book' and 'not even well disguised.'
Towler asserts that Lowe is not genuinely seeking to unite the right, but rather attempting to compel Farage to adopt Lowe's own political agenda. He claims Lowe intends to spend the autumn touring studios, explaining that he, Rupert, the 'bigger man,' made an effort.

Towler characterized the offer as 'self-serving nonsense.' He claims Lowe has Farage's mobile number and has had it for years, suggesting a serious approach would have involved direct communication.
An ally of Mr Farage accused Mr Lowe of seeking 'relevance' because Restore Britain is not proving popular enough. Towler added that Lowe is in a hurry for it.
