John McNeil received a sentence for drug offenses at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
Officers intercepted a vehicle in April 2023, discovering £4,640 of cocaine and £10,050 of heroin concealed within.
A stolen lamb, named Pablo, was also in the car, reportedly eating chips. Authorities returned Pablo to its Lanarkshire farm; the owner, Miss Mair, had not given permission for the lamb's removal.
Lindsey Sangster, the driver, received an 18-month driving ban and 100 hours of unpaid work. Sangster drove under the influence of drugs.
No, the lamb at the time was eating a bag of chips left on the back seat. There were no bottles.
McNeil and Sangster claimed they tried to save the lamb from a "dangerous position" in the middle of the road. McNeil told an officer Sangster was a 'trainee shepherdess' when questioned about the animal.
Sergeant Nick Twigg contradicted this account. He stated, "'No, the lamb at the time was eating a bag of chips left on the back seat. There were no bottles.'"
Both McNeil and Sangster denied any knowledge of the drugs found in the vehicle. Sheriff Tony Kelly opted against custody, stating, "'I will step back from imposing custody having regard to the age of these matters, and there is nothing arising for criminal offences for you to be dealt with.'"
