A 36-year-old man was arrested following a 45-minute police pursuit through Salford that saw a Nissan Qashqai reverse-ram an unmarked police vehicle.
Police pursued a suspect's vehicle for approximately 45 minutes across Salford, underscoring the persistent risks to law enforcement personnel.
The pursuit involved the vehicle reaching speeds up to 100mph, a clear disregard for public safety in built-up areas.
During the chase, the suspect's vehicle reverse-rammed an unmarked police vehicle, causing minor damage to the police asset.
The incident escalated as the vehicle traveled the wrong way on a carriageway and roundabouts, then through a Tesco car park, creating additional hazards.

A stinger was ultimately deployed to bring the vehicle to a halt, concluding the high-speed pursuit.
The scale of the police response was substantial, involving 10 police vehicles and helicopters from the National Police Air Service.
