A man fell overboard from the cruise ship MS Ambition off the Scottish coast.
Police Scotland received an alert at 8:55 am on Friday regarding the incident, which occurred approximately 40 nautical miles off Anstruther, Fife.
The MS Ambition was traveling from Lerwick to Dundee when the passenger reportedly went missing; the alarm was raised onboard at about 08:35 on Friday, approximately 36 nautical miles from Arbroath.
Upon the vessel's arrival in Dundee, a thorough search of the ship commenced.
The passenger's luggage remained onboard, and his bed had not been slept in, suggesting he may have gone overboard sometime before the alarm was raised.
