Urgent Search Underway for Missing Teen Swimmer in North Sea
Emergency services deploy extensive resources to Hornsea coast after 13-year-old boy reported in difficulty.

Emergency services are conducting an urgent search for a 13-year-old boy who went swimming in the North Sea off Hornsea.
Humberside Police, the coastguard, ambulance service, and fire crews converged on the South Promenade in Hornsea at approximately 6pm on August 4th, responding to urgent reports of a teenage boy in the water.
Police Search Advisors, the Marine Unit, and drone pilots have since deployed, spearheading an extensive search and rescue effort to locate the 13-year-old boy.
Chief Superintendent Phil Booker confirmed officers immediately deployed alongside other emergency services upon receiving the report that a 13-year-old boy was struggling in the water.
Booker emphasized that finding the boy remains the absolute priority, with specialist Police Search Advisors (POLSA), the Marine Unit, and drone pilots conducting the extensive operation.
