Busy Philipps has revealed a diagnosis of a rare brain tumour.
Her ex-husband, Marc Silverstein, urged the scan, initially set for January but pushed to February 12 due to a blizzard, the day after her friend James died.
The diagnosis ruled out glioblastoma; the tumor affects approximately 1,100 to 1,300 people annually across the US.
A staphylococcus infection forced a second operation. Philipps stated, "The second surgery really threw me. I just felt like I was back to square one, and I was really, really upset."
Philipps questioned if her mood swings over the past two years stemmed from the tumor pressing on her frontal lobe, rather than perimenopause.
She claims her 'brain feels broken' over the past two years, initially attributing these feelings to perimenopause.
Despite the challenges, Busy Philipps expressed profound gratitude, stating, "I'm grateful that I'm alive."
