Amy Dowden Details Cancer Ordeal Amidst Celebrity Hunted Appearance
Dancer's battle with breast cancer, early menopause, and hopes for motherhood revealed during Channel 4 charity programme.

Amy Dowden, the Strictly Come Dancing professional, is openly discussing her breast cancer journey.
Dowden currently participates in the Channel 4 program 'Celebrity Hunted' alongside fellow dancer Carlos Gu. The show airs in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.
Other contestants on the program include Brian Conley and his daughter Lucy, Scarlette and Stuart Douglas, Chris Taylor and Toby Aromolaran, JJ Chalmers and Sophie Morgan, and Jen Brister and Laura Smyth.
Despite her public recovery, Dowden continues to suffer from treatment side effects. These include early menopause induced by her cancer treatments and medications.
Before her treatment, Dowden and her husband Ben Jones froze five embryos. Doctors have advised her to wait a minimum of two years post-treatment before attempting pregnancy due to potential hormone risks.
Dowden has shared the heartbreaking toll of cancer and her profound desire to become a mother, feeling 'traumatised' upon discovering her ordeal was not yet concluded. She confessed to feeling as though she had been 'robbed for so long' by her illness.
Amy Dowden recounted a particularly emotional moment, stating, "I remember Kimberley looking down on me, literally on stage, and she could see I was in floods of tears."
