Myleene Klass Urges Health Checks After Lump Scare

"Girls. A massive reminder to check yourselves," Klass declared, recounting the discovery of a lump "accidentally" while at Wimbledon, casually folding her arms when "there it was. Then a second one."

The subsequent days unfolded with a brutal duality, moving "both quickly and agonisingly slowly." Klass ultimately received an all-clear after three cysts and three lymph nodes were examined.

The period of waiting forced a complete reorganisation of her life, establishing "a new set of priorities and ‘what ifs’." She described the strange "reordering" required to return to "normal" after the relief of the diagnosis.

Lauren Laverne, Julia Bradbury, Jools Oliver, Kirsty Gallacher, and Zoe Ball offered their support on Klass's social media post.

Kirsty Gallacher wrote, "Gosh darling, sending so much love amazing lady and glad all ok. Thank you for sharing. Love you." Lauren Laverne, diagnosed with a rare blood and bone marrow disorder, also commented, "Love you xxx."

Klass, a fierce advocate for women’s health, emphasised the critical importance of confronting discomfort. She urged, "All this to say, as a fierce advocate for women’s health and not hiding what’s uncomfortable, right now, check yourself and go get a second opinion."

She reflected on the profound emotional toll, stating, "I have close friends going through similar experiences and it’s sobering, humbling and terrifying." Klass highlighted the particular impact on mothers, adding that "It’s the having kids that anyone who experiences anything near this will know to be the first and final concern."

This recent health scare adds another layer of emotional weight to Klass's advocacy for women's health. She has previously endured four miscarriages.
