Woman's Body Found in Stanley Park Bin Bag
Merseyside Police investigate unidentified woman, believed to be in her 70s, discovered near Anfield Stadium.

A woman's body was discovered in a black bin bag in Stanley Park, Liverpool, on Friday.
The woman, described as white, approximately 1.57 meters (5ft 2in) tall, and of small build, had strawberry-blond hair and wore a pink Nike T-shirt.
A post-mortem examination occurred on Saturday; investigators withheld the results.
Merseyside Police have not yet identified the woman, checking missing persons reports across Merseyside and beyond without success.
The body is believed to have remained in the park for several weeks, possibly left in a black bag within a walled garden for that duration. Detective Superintendent Rachel Wilson stated the body is thought to have been at the location for a number of weeks.
Officers conduct house-to-house inquiries, CCTV checks, and other investigations to identify the woman and those responsible.
A mobile police station has been established in Stanley Park, gathering information and providing a visible presence. Merseyside Police also shared an image of a similar T-shirt to the one worn by the victim, hoping to aid identification.
Many park visitors reportedly spotted the bin bag but did not alert the police, believing it not to be suspicious. Assistant Chief Constable Andy Ryan stated it is quite possible that one or more visitors to the park may have seen something suspicious recently and not reported it at the time.
It is possible some individuals go missing without those close to them realising, through holidays or misunderstandings, and therefore no report of concern may have been received, according to Merseyside Police.
