Murder Investigation Launched After Human Remains Found in Feltham Woodland

Discovery in West London prompts police appeal amid questions over victim's identity and duration at site.

Human remains were discovered in woodland adjacent to Padstow Walk, Feltham, West London.
Metropolitan Police received a call at 6:35 PM on August 12 regarding the discovery; examinations confirmed the remains are human, and further testing is underway to establish age and identity.
A murder investigation has launched following the find; a crime scene remains in place.
The remains were unearthed at Bedfont Lakes Country Park, a location local residents claim saw two wildfires in the past fortnight.
Emergency services were called to the park at approximately 6:35 PM BST on Wednesday, August 12; the woodland is now taped off to the public.
The Metropolitan Police believe the remains belong to a woman aged approximately between 25 and 45 years old.
Detectives state it remains unclear how long her remains had been at the location.
