Simon Richardson received a life sentence for the murder of cyclist Michael Mullins.
Mr. Mullins was found barely breathing on a grass verge in Warburton, Greater Manchester, on April 20. A motorcyclist discovered him, following a trail of blood left as the boy cycled home from Stretford Grammar School.
Richardson faced arrest the day after the collision, following a brief police pursuit. His cousin, Gabrielle Debotte, rode as a passenger in the vehicle during the impact.

I'm a professional driver,

Richardson
Richardson carries previous convictions for drink driving and careless driving. Debotte claims Richardson smirked, stating, 'I'm a professional driver,' when she urged him to slow down before the collision.
Richardson, through his defence counsel Jaime Hamilton KC, denied exiting the vehicle or attempting to pull Mr. Mullins clear.
