Convicted Murderer Charged with Prison Assault

Simon Levy, a convicted murderer, has been charged with assault and intentional strangulation.
Prosecution claims detail Levy's alleged assault during a meeting, where he reportedly leapt on the officer.
Westminster Magistrates’ Court heard these allegations; Levy, however, pleaded not guilty to both charges.
His lawyer, Jason Lartey, asserts Levy denies assaulting the officer or grabbing him around the throat.

Deputy Chief Magistrate Tan Ikram sent the case to Inner London Crown Court for trial on September 14.
Levy received a whole life prison term last year for the murders of Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo and Sheryl Wilkins.
Detectives claim Levy may have carried out daily attacks for years, escalating from groping women on the London Underground to rape, suffocation, and ultimately murder.
