School Shooting Leaves Multiple Casualties in Nonthaburi
A pupil opened fire at Debsirin Nonthaburi School, prompting a massive police response and leaving at least 20 injured.

A student opened fire at Debsirin Nonthaburi School in Thailand on Friday.
Initial reports cited two teachers among the injured, with other claims detailing at least six fatalities and 15 injuries.
Lt. Col. Dechrapee Kongdee confirmed one teacher and three students sustained injuries. Polapee Suwunchwee clarified the injured students were not hurt by gunfire, but while attempting to flee.
Emergency services converged on the 6th floor of Building 5, where personnel administered CPR to one victim. Sources at the scene observed the suspect reloading ammunition inside the building.
The perpetrator, identified as a pupil at the school, has died. Lt. Col. Dechrapee Kongdee stated the suspected gunman took their own life.

The Debsirin School, a secondary institution established in 1885, enrolled approximately 3,100 students and 147 teachers in the 2025 academic year. One student described the chaotic scene, stating, "I didn't think it was a gun at first."
Another student recounted the rapid succession of events: "There were many shots: bang bang bang. Then it went quiet. Then it started again."
