A police officer was shot in the foot in Nottingham city centre on Sunday, 18 October.
The officer approached two suspects at a bus stop in Angel Row. The shooting occurred, and the suspects fled the scene immediately, sparking a city-wide manhunt.
Police have since arrested four people in connection with the shooting. Officers took three occupants of a vehicle into custody in Radford, Nottingham, on Sunday evening.
A fourth arrest followed in Bedfordshire in the early hours of Monday morning. Authorities held a 30-year-old man on suspicion of assisting an offender.
A 27-year-old woman faces charges of grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. A 24-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The officer remains stable in hospital. Authorities recovered the firearm used in the shooting.
Angel Row, closed by police until Sunday evening, has since reopened to the public. Work continues to establish why the shooting occurred, Gary Godden stated.
Nottinghamshire Police claim the officer was blasted with a sawn-off shotgun. A projectile, believed fired from the weapon, struck the officer after he approached the suspects at the bus stop.
