An 11-year-old girl died after being found in the water at Gore Glen Woodland Park.
The search began at approximately 12:40 on Thursday, initiated by urgent concerns for the girl's safety.
Emergency services located her body around 4:25pm on Thursday, pronouncing her dead at the scene.
Police Scotland confirmed the discovery in the Gore Water near Shank Bridge at approximately 4:25pm.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service deployed two appliances, providing critical support to emergency services throughout the operation.
The Scottish Ambulance Service received a call at 2:33pm on Thursday, dispatching two ambulances, a special operations team, and a critical care paramedic to the scene.
Police informed the girl's family of the tragic incident.
