Girl Dies After Being Found in Gore Glen Water

An 11-year-old girl died after being found in the water at Gore Glen Woodland Park.
A search operation began Thursday at approximately 12:40, following concerns for a girl's welfare. Emergency services located the girl around 4:25pm that afternoon; she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Scotland confirmed the body's discovery in the Gore Water near Shanks Bridge. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service deployed two appliances, supporting the emergency operation.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and her family are aware.
