Man Dies in Camber Sands Incident Amid Heatwave
Emergency services recovered 18-year-old from sea as two others safely exited water; police confirm ongoing inquiries.

A young man died Sunday after getting into difficulty in the sea at Camber Sands beach in East Sussex.
Sussex Police confirmed their deployment to the scene. A 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man safely exited the water.
However, a third individual, a 24-year-old man, was pulled from the water around 7.30pm. Paramedics attempted resuscitation, but the 24-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
The three individuals, all known to each other, had travelled from London to the popular coastal destination. Yellow heat health alerts, issued by the UK Health Security Agency, remain in place across multiple English regions until at least 9pm on Tuesday.
Sussex Police confirmed the deceased's next of kin have been informed. Inquiries are ongoing into the circumstances, with an increased emergency presence visible at this time.
Police stated there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. The matter will now proceed to a coronial investigation.
