Influencer Braden Peters, known as Clavicular, appeared in court today on a rape charge.
Peters previously courted controversy for methods such as hitting himself with a hammer and taking methamphetamine for appetite suppression. Massachusetts victim shield laws restrict publication of the accuser's identity.
Peters agreed to $10,000 bail, surrendered his passport, and cannot contact or post about the accuser. If convicted on the lead charge of rape, Peters faces up to 20 years in state prison and mandatory sex offender registration.
A woman involved in a civil complaint claims Peters wanted her to be the female face for 'looksmaxxing'. She alleges he injected her with Aqualyx, an 'unapproved drug' intended to 'melt fat on her cheeks'.
This injection reportedly contained 'methamphetamine or another undisclosed substance'. The woman claims this led to 'severe emotional distress, trauma, humiliation, nightmares, fear, panic, and mental anguish'.
Aqualyx is an FDA-unapproved fat-dissolving injection that poses significant safety risks. Peters' representative claims the woman amended her lawsuit to add sexual assault as a count after initially not including it.
The representative also states the woman knew what was happening with the injections. Insiders close to Clavicular claim the situation is a 'shakedown' and will be fought 'till the end'.
Peters himself claims the accuser tries to get his attention with a lawsuit, describing her as petty. She reportedly sent him a letter thanking him for their collaboration and saying they had a 'really fun' time doing a stream.
Peters faced a prior misdemeanor battery charge in Florida, which authorities later dropped. The accuser in that case reportedly inquired about his income while trying to work as a bottle girl.
