Kieran Hayler Charged with Rape and Sexual Assault
Katie Price gives evidence in Lewes Crown Court, denying animosity towards ex-husband amidst conflicting claims of a campaign.

Kieran Hayler faces three counts of rape and one count of sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl.
Price declared, "It was all wrong what he did. He's just a wrong'un, I know he's done stuff with the (complainant), I got the messages."
Price insisted, "You shouldn't turn this case against me. The real reason why we're here is what he's done to a child, not me."
She denied any anger or vengefulness towards her ex-husband, asserting, "I don’t have any venom against Kieran, it was amicable when we split."

However, Hayler's lawyer, Arlette Piercy, accused Price of being "angry and vengeful towards the defendant Kieran Hayler." Piercy claimed Price had "evidenced a vendetta against him over a number of years."
Price reportedly messaged the teenage girl, stating she had heard Hayler and the girl had kissed and he had tried it on with her.
She added later: "I will make you a little star."
Price defended this message, stating, "I don’t know, when she was 13 there’s no agenda or nothing behind it. It’s just a figure of speech."
Hayler, through the court, suggests his ex-wife launched a campaign against him when their marriage ended, with the allegations forming part of this.
Price admitted to choosing a nanny she considered unattractive and overweight in an attempt to prevent Hayler from cheating.
She stated, "Absolutely, there was a reason for that so he wouldn’t cheat on me again but he did."
Arlette Piercy questioned Price about this, saying, "You chose the nanny. It’s accepted at a later stage he had an affair with her. You chose her because she wasn’t very attractive and she was a little bit overweight."
Price also suggested that Piercy's questioning about her past struggles with cocaine and alcohol constituted discrimination.
She stated, "That’s discrimination. Everyone knows I self-medicated on coke due to Kieran introducing it. You are wrong and trying to discriminate me."
Price further asserted, "I don’t need to sit here like a therapy session," and declared, "I won’t have anybody call me a liar."
Price expressed her shock regarding the allegations, stating, "I was shocked… like really shocked. It was a different kettle of fish, it's a child."
