Hayden Panettiere Dies at 36; Boyfriend Present at Scene

Actress Hayden Panettiere has died at the age of 36.
Brian Hickerson, Panettiere's former boyfriend, previously pleaded no contest to two felony counts of injuring a spouse or girlfriend; he served 33 days in jail for those offenses.
Panettiere's Los Angeles neighbors were reportedly warned to call the police if they saw Hickerson on their property, with a warning poster featuring his face temporarily appearing outside her West Hollywood condo.
Panettiere had struggled with addiction and mental health.
Griff Furst, who worked with Panettiere on the May 2025 film _A Breed Apart_, claims her team considered an intervention before her death.
Furst also claims Panettiere was fighting to stay sober on set during the production of _A Breed Apart_.

Panettiere reportedly stated she was 'fired' from being the face of Neutrogena for speaking out about her postpartum depression, despite Neutrogena stating they partnered with her for over a decade.
Tributes have poured in from Wladimir Klitschko, Griff Furst, and Jonathan Jackson; Jack Coleman, who starred with Panettiere in 'Heroes', also shared a social media tribute.
Panettiere's representatives stated she will be remembered as an 'incredible light'.
Panettiere later gave full custody of her daughter, Kaya, to her former fiancé, Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko.
Lesley Vogel added, "I just feel that she's with her brother and they're at peace."
