The Golden Globes celebrated cinematic and television achievements.
Paul Thomas Anderson emerged as the night's major winner for 'One Battle After Another,' taking home both Best Director and Best Screenplay.
The film's original song, 'Golden,' also secured a win, with Joong Gyu Kwak, Yu Han Lee, Hee Dong Nam, Jeong Hoon Seo, Park Hong Jun, Kim Eun-Jae, and Mark Sonnenblick sharing the credit. Teyana Taylor added to the film's momentum, winning Best Supporting Actress for her role in the production. In total, 'One Battle After Another' garnered four awards throughout the evening.
'Hamnet' was named Best Picture in the drama categories, while Jessie Buckley earned Best Actress in a Drama for her performance in the film.
Timothée Chalamet won Best Actor in a Drama for 'Marty Supreme,' a victory widely viewed as a significant boost toward the Academy Awards. Wagner Moura was also honored with Best Actor in a Drama for 'The Secret Agent.'
Stellan Skarsgard took home the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for his role in 'Sentimental Value.' The film, which centers on a director past his prime, resonated with voters through its themes of decline and redemption.
Rose Byrne was named Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for 'If I Had Legs I'd Kick You,' while 'KPop Demon Hunters' took the prize for Best Animated Film. The award for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement went to 'Sinners,' and Ludwig Göransson won Best Original Score.
In television, Noah Wyle won Best Actor in a Drama for 'The Pitt.' Jean Smart received the Best Actress award in a Musical or Comedy for 'Hacks,' while Seth Rogen won Best Actor in the same category for 'The Studio.' The Apple comedy series 'The Studio' also secured the win for Best Comedy Series.
Rhea Seehorn was named Best Actress in a Drama for her role in Apple TV’s 'Pluribus.' Stephen Graham won Best Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology, or TV Motion Picture, and Erin Doherty received the award for Supporting Female Actor in 'Adolescence.'
Michelle Williams was recognized for her role in the limited series 'Dying for Sex,' and Ricky Gervais won for Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television.
Owen Cooper made Golden Globes history with his win for Best Supporting Male Actor, adding to his previous Emmy success. Reflecting on the night's winners, 'Adolescence' writer Jack Thorne commented that the show explores how society should be frightened of young people.
The first-ever Golden Globe for Best Podcast went to 'Good Hang with Amy Poehler.'
Host Nikki Glaser led the ceremony, at one point claiming the Golden Globes are 'without a doubt the most important thing that's happening in the world right now.'
While the ceremony largely ignored political matters, Mark Ruffalo and Wanda Sykes were seen wearing 'ICE OUT' pins to protest ICE violence in the US. Miley Cyrus also made a high-profile appearance on the red carpet.
