Christina Applegate has revealed a misdiagnosis of multiple sclerosis.
"This may come as great news, but to me, I’m back at square one," Applegate stated.
The actress, known for her roles in "Married... with Children" and "Dead to Me," continues to use wheelchairs for doctor's appointments. She cannot walk from her car to the examination room.

I’m back at square one that I don’t know what’s going on with me.

Applegate co-hosts the podcast MeSsY with Jamie-Lynn Sigler. There, she discussed her persistent medical struggles, claiming her mysterious illness worsens despite mirroring MS symptoms.
The initial diagnosis offered a sense of comfort, providing a name and a community. However, the current uncertainty creates distress. Applegate stated, "I’m back at square one that I don’t know what’s going on with me."
She claims the misdiagnosis caused profound depression and job loss. Applegate expressed confusion, noting, "Everything that I was doing I had a reason. I had a f reason as to why my day sucked every day, and now I don’t have a reason."
Applegate transitioned back to home life. Her underlying illness, however, remains a mystery, despite the initial MS diagnosis.
