Two teenagers face attempted murder charges after a Halloween party in Hampshire turned violent.
A 16-year-old boy suffered serious injuries during an attack at a home on Park Road, Chandler’s Ford. Police responded to the scene around 9:00 PM on Saturday, locating five injured boys, aged 16 or 17, shortly after 10:30 PM.
Paramedics transported the victims to the hospital. Hampshire Police have since cordoned off both Park Road and Valley Road as their investigation continues.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary confirmed uninvited males entered the party by scaling a garden fence before assaulting the five victims. The gathering, initially expecting 30-40 guests, swelled to approximately 100 attendees.
The address had circulated on social media, drawing about 70 uninvited individuals. Some gatecrashers arrived after another party in Romsey shut down.
A friend of the party host stated the gatecrashers initially appeared friendly before launching their attack. The stab victims reportedly attended Thornden School together.
Whilst the two arrests are a significant development in our investigation, which has moved at pace since the incident was first reported to us, we still urge our communities to contact us with any information, no matter how small it may seem.
Local churches in Chandler's Ford, St Boniface and St Martin in the Wood, now offer community support. St Boniface Church will open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM throughout the week, while St Martin in the Wood will be available Monday to Wednesday between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
