Several people sustained injuries in a sword attack at a high school in Fagersta, Sweden.
Police received a call regarding ongoing deadly violence at a school in Fagersta; the suspect was reportedly shot in the leg by police during apprehension.
Officers remain at the scene in central Fagersta, approximately 170km north west of Stockholm, urging the public to respect roadblocks and listen to police instructions.
The Swedish government maintains contact with police regarding the ongoing investigation; Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer confirmed direct communication.
Eight other schools in the area were placed under lockdown as a precautionary measure, but despite the initial alarm, police state there is currently no danger to the public.
