Raheem Sterling Charged After M3 Collision
Former England international faces dangerous driving, nitrous oxide possession, and failure to provide specimen charges following May incident.

Raheem Sterling faces charges following a single-vehicle collision on the M3.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary confirmed the 31-year-old faces accusations of dangerous driving, possession of nitrous oxide for wrongful inhalation, and failing to provide a specimen.
Police initially suspected Sterling of "driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs," but this specific accusation has not been included in the formal charges. A source close to Sterling claims there was "no proof" of drugs in his system.
Sterling is scheduled to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on September 15.
The footballer has been without a club since his departure from Feyenoord at the close of last season. Sterling reportedly spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Arsenal before joining Dutch club Feyenoord on a short-term deal after leaving Stamford Bridge.
He earned 82 caps for England, scoring 20 goals during his international career. He also won four Premier League titles, five League Cups, and the FA Cup with Manchester City.
His contributions to racial equality in sport were recognized in 2021 when he was made an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

A representative for Raheem Sterling claims the player had been made to feel “worthless” and “forgotten about” in recent years. A source close to Sterling indicates he had faced "an extremely tough couple of years."
