Jeffrey Epstein reportedly visited Balmoral at the invitation of the then-Prince Andrew. An email signed 'A' went to Ghislaine Maxwell, asking for 'inappropriate friends'.
Separately, an email from Maxwell to 'The Invisible Man' in March 2002 stated she had passed on a message to an unnamed individual. It began, "I just gave Andrew your telephone no."
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor consistently denies any wrongdoing. He was interviewed under caution in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office and maintains his innocence.
Earlier this year, Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor was reportedly arrested and held for almost 12 hours at Aylsham police station in Norfolk. Questioning focused on alleged misconduct in public office, specifically concerning his time as a British trade envoy.
Buckingham Palace announced last year that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor would no longer be known as a prince. He would also leave Royal Lodge, taking up residence on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk.
The National Police Chiefs’ Council established a UK-wide coordination group. This group assists at least nine police forces assessing allegations from the Epstein Files.
Surrey Police also seeks information on an allegation of human trafficking and sexual assault. This specific claim dates back to the mid-1990s.
