Jamal Musiala collapsed during a Bayern Munich friendly match against Heidenheim.
The first incident occurred during a match against RB Leipzig on Saturday; hot conditions were thought to have played a role in his collapse. Musiala also collapsed during a friendly against Heidenheim on Tuesday, August 18.
Jamal Musiala stated his diagnosis: brief, temporary—but treatable—absence seizures resulting from a neurological dysfunction.
Musiala claims no further health risk is involved for him; he wishes to continue playing football, believing it aids his recovery.
He further asserted he is not putting himself in danger by continuing to play, reiterating no further health risk is involved.
It was Musiala's personal wish to face this challenge, a decision made with medical clearance from neurologists.
Musiala has taken full responsibility for his decision to continue playing, despite the recent collapse.
