Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are returning to the UK this month, enrolling their children in a British school.
The couple plans to reside in a non-royal property outside of London, having previously lived in Canada and Montecito, California.
In late June, Harry awaited a review by the Risk Management Board regarding his security needs.
The Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures reportedly rejected a request for taxpayer-funded police security for the family's summer visit in June 2026.
Prime Minister Andy Burnham stated that security arrangements for Prince Harry and Meghan in the UK are a private matter.
Well, this is a private matter. It’s a matter for Harry and for Meghan, and we wish them well in the moves that they’re making.
Beyond the legal debate, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are sending their children, Archie, 7, and Lilibet, to a school in England, Dorothy Reddin claims.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also claim they have already enrolled their children in school.
It has not been revealed which school Archie and Lilibet will attend or where they will be based, due to privacy and security reasons, Dorothy Reddin claims.
The Sussexes will not resume their roles as working royals, it is understood.
Meghan will continue to run her lifestyle brand, As Ever, from their new base, with Dorothy Reddin claiming the Duchess launched the brand while the Duke focused mainly on charitable endeavours.
The couple is understood to retain their Montecito home and their Portuguese summer house, despite moving back to the UK.
Separately, King Charles II was reportedly blindsided by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to move back to the UK, only learning of it four days ago, despite his estranged son already having settled on a home there.
The UK monarch had met with his long-exiled son and daughter-in-law last month, but the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly did not mention their plans to the royal family; however, King Charles II, 77, is understood to be excited to have the opportunity to see his family more often in a private capacity after learning the news, insiders said.
