A 26-year-old foreign national has been arrested in Athens in connection with the death of Elisabeth-Jane Ross.
The arrested man confessed his actions at police headquarters on Thursday, admitting he placed the body in a suitcase and transported it to an abandoned site.
Investigators discovered a replica pistol and a knife at the suspect's home, adding to the collected evidence.
Crucial evidence emerged from the suspect's wife; she provided officers with a mobile phone and €2,550 in cash.
Her testimony included location-tracking app data, placing her husband at Elisabeth-Jane Ross's flat from the night of July 15 through July 16.

Simita Kumar expressed profound sorrow, saying, "My heart breaks for Elisabeth-Jane Ross, and my thoughts are with her family and friends. It's a tragic loss of such a young life. My deepest sympathies are with all who knew her."
