President Donald Trump told a CNN reporter to be quiet during an Oval Office event on Monday.
He cut off her question about the sufficiency of supplies and food aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, citing Rai's presence as a reason to halt Holmes's inquiry.
Trump complained about the network’s reporting on conditions aboard the Lincoln, a vessel soon to be relieved after nearly a year at sea.
This deployment was reportedly extended due to the war Trump started with Iran in February.
Relatives of sailors aboard the Lincoln have raised concerns about food and hygiene; the ship is understood to have experienced food and supply shortages.

Trump, however, claimed the families of the boys were not worried about the conditions aboard the Lincoln, stating an admiral told him, 'I have been on ships much longer than that, sir,' and that people on the Lincoln say it's beautifully taken care of.
Separately, the President reportedly called Alayna Treene 'fake news' during the same event.
This incident follows a pattern, as Trump previously attacked New York Times reporter Katie Rogers and reportedly called Bloomberg News reporter Catherine Lucey 'piggy.'
The USS Abraham Lincoln is reportedly being relieved after nearly a year at sea.
Meanwhile, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent were on a different plane during these events.
