Prime Minister Andy Burnham will feature on a special Stand Up To Cancer episode of Channel 4's Gogglebox.
The Prime Minister defended his use of humor and lightness, engaging the public for a good cause. He stated politicians offer much to those seeking tactics for 'The Traitors', claiming they can spot 'faithfuls and traitors a mile off.'
Burnham said the profession teaches them to do that, adding that it is a great program. He also noted it exemplifies strong British broadcasting, and of course, the BBC.

That’s the way I go at things and connect with people as best I can. And perhaps if a few more people watch it tonight and then support Stand Up To Cancer, that will be job done.

Kemi Badenoch, however, commented on the government's advice to stockpile essentials. She asserted the Prime Minister's participation in 'Gogglebox' and discussion of stockpiling means the government fails to do the difficult work protecting the country.
Badenoch also claims Burnham spends all day on social media. She suggests he has too much time for 'Gogglebox', social media, and Lad Bible, and not enough time for his role as Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister reflected on the emotional impact of the stories. "But it's utter devastation isn't it, if you're that couple I don't know how you cope with that," Andy Burnham said.

The only thing that does give some hope is there is so much incredible research going on, and some of the main cancers of years ago, there's been such big progress on them.

He offered a glimmer of hope amidst the difficult narratives. Andy Burnham stated, "The only thing that does give some hope is there is so much incredible research going on, and some of the main cancers of years ago, there's been such big progress on them."
Jeremy Corbyn previously appeared on a 2017 charity version of 'Gogglebox'.
