Murder Probe Links to Farage Arson Attack Reopened
Counter-terrorism police re-examine 2025 incident at Nigel Farage's London home following arrest in Ann Widdecombe murder case.

Police have reopened an investigation into an alleged firebomb attack on Nigel Farage's London home.
Joshua Kerry, 28, from Rotherham, faced arrest last month following the discovery of Ann Widdecombe's body at her Devon residence.
Counter-terrorism police reopened a case on Friday where a lit incendiary device was pushed through the letterbox of a property owned by Nigel Farage.
Police are examining whether Kerry is connected to the arson incident in London; Nigel Farage has been informed of the investigation.
The Metropolitan Police reportedly received a report of an attempted burglary at a London address in April 2025.
Counter-Terror Policing (CTP) initially investigated the incident as an "attempted burglary," made no arrests, and subsequently closed the case.
Officers investigating Ann Widdecombe's death reportedly found a line of inquiry related to the alleged firebomb attack on Nigel Farage's home that was not investigated at the time.
Nigel Farage stated, "I understand this is a completely unprecedented move, and yes, this is directly linked to the murder of Ann Widdecombe, and I’m afraid I just can’t tell you any more than that at this stage."
He also claimed the reopening of the probe is directly linked to the murder of Ann Widdecombe.
Counter Terrorism Policing has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) over the investigation into the alleged firebomb attack; CTP London confirmed it made a “mandatory conduct referral” to the police watchdog on Friday.
Nigel Farage asserted, "Clearly, counter-terrorism made some mistakes, which is why they referred themselves to the Independent Office of Police (Conduct) (IOPC)."
He added, "The fact that counter-terrorism have been honest enough to say, ‘Mr Farage, when it came to the incident that happened to you in April 2025’, to publicly admit they got it wrong and to refer themselves to the IOPC."
Farage claimed that the security services in Britain only took the safety and security of Reform politicians and prominent figures seriously after the death of Ann Widdecombe.

Farage also claimed his party "had been treated very differently to everybody else" before Widdecombe's death, adding, "Up until that moment, we had been treated very differently to everybody else."
He concluded, "Now they’re obviously very, very scared of what the truth is when it comes out."
