Two men were found dead in a Partick flat, prompting a murder investigation.
The victims reportedly knew each other; the flat where they were found is understood to be the home of one of them.
The last sighting of either man was on Friday morning, with detectives believing a knife was used as a weapon.
A major incident public portal has been launched.
Police are reviewing CCTV footage and conducting door-to-door inquiries across the area.
High visibility patrols and an increased police presence are now established in Partick.
Detectives have appealed for witnesses who knew the victims or observed suspicious activity near Chancellor Street from 9am on Friday 14 August.
Police are keeping an open mind about whether there was one killer or more.
Cheryl Kelly stated, "My thoughts are with the families of Paul and Gary at this extremely difficult time and we are doing all we can to get them answers."
