Minnie Driver Survives Horrific Car Crash in Rural France

Minnie Driver and friend Ben Homewood miraculously survived a severe car accident in rural France.
The driver detailed the incident in an Instagram video: "I got into a really bad car accident a few days ago with my friend Ben, and we somehow walked out of it."
She clarified, "Well, we didn’t walk out of it; we crawled out of it, but we did get out of it alive."
The Oscar-nominated actress sustained a neck sprain and a neck injury, returning to London after the ordeal.
Driver claims the accident occurred when another car, traveling at speed, failed to stop at an intersection, leading to a T-bone collision.

Driver further claims the car that caused the accident slowed down, observed the scene, and then drove off without stopping.
Both Driver and Homewood were reportedly taken to the hospital following the crash.
A van driver stopped and provided assistance before the ambulances arrived.
Driver attributes their survival to the vehicle they were driving, stating, "The reason that I’m not dead, honestly, is the car that we were driving."
She highlighted the role of the car's safety features, explaining, "I’ve never been in a crash before, but the 360-degree airbags are what saved our lives."
Driver also praised the vehicle's structural integrity, noting, "The fact the entire car didn’t just concertina and crush us is down to the design of that car – which is frankly astonishing."
Reflecting on the trauma, Driver shared, "My brain keeps replaying the crash, which is very hard but seems to be a necessary part of processing."
Despite her injuries, she expressed profound gratitude, stating, "We’ve got families and people who love us, and I am so grateful to be alive."
