Everton and Crystal Palace Complete Winger Swap Deal

Elsewhere, Dwight McNeil has become Crystal Palace's third signing under new manager Pierre Sage. McNeil had entered the final year of his contract with Everton, where he scored 15 goals and registered 19 assists in 128 games.

The February transfer attempt for McNeil to join Palace reportedly collapsed due to incomplete paperwork, despite the player passing a medical examination. Megan Sharpley, McNeil's partner, accused Crystal Palace of toying with his mental health during the initial failed transfer.

Crystal Palace co-owner and chairman Steve Parish reportedly held clear-the-air talks with Megan Sharpley ahead of the finalized transfer. The former Burnley player was brought back into the fold by Moyes after his initial switch to Palace was called off, making a further eight appearances.

McNeil stated, "The lads have had some great success over the last two seasons. It’s something that I want to be a part of, so I’m really looking forward to getting started." Johnson reportedly failed to find the net in 26 appearances for Palace during his brief tenure, while Crystal Palace is understood to have won the Conference League.
