A 25-year-old bus driver was shot dead outside a Clapham pub on Monday night.
One resident near The Landor pub initially mistook four shots for a car backfiring; another reported hearing multiple bangs, possibly five, followed by numerous sirens.
Staff from The Landor pub are understood to have helped the victim after the shooting; a police forensics tent stood across the road from the establishment on Tuesday.
Several bouquets of flowers were laid near the entrance, accompanied by a lit candle.
Friends of Auguste-Marie Bile-aka Amoa claim his death was a case of being in the 'wrong place, wrong time'; a woman at the scene suggested mistaken identity.

Our thoughts remain with Bile-aka’s family as they come to terms with this tragic incident.

Guiver added, "We continue to appeal for anyone with information to come forward." She urged, "If you were in the area at the time of the shooting, witnessed anything suspicious or have any CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage that could assist our investigation, we urge you to get in touch."
