However, Atletico Madrid CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin has firmly asserted the club's position, declaring, "I have no doubt Atletico is the place in the world for Julian and Julian is the perfect striker for Atletico Madrid."

Marin clarified the club's unwavering stance: "We want to continue counting on him. We do not want to transfer him. We did not accept an offer of €100 million, and we will not accept one of €150m or €200m."

Arsenal is reportedly set to offer Atletico £85 million plus Gyokeres for Alvarez, a substantial proposal reflecting the player's market value.
